- Real-name registration is mandatory. Bring the patient's original valid ID (national ID card or passport for foreign nationals) on the day of visit. Without it, registration and self-service machines cannot be used.
- Outpatient hours: Morning 08:00–11:30 | Afternoon 13:00–17:00. Weekend clinics are available for select departments.
- Emergency department: Open 24 hours at the Main Campus.
- International patients: Huashan Hospital has a dedicated international medical department (国际医疗部) at the Main Campus, offering English-language services and streamlined booking for overseas patients.

Search and follow 复旦大学附属华山医院 on WeChat. This is the most convenient and widely used channel. Slots open daily at 08:00 for appointments up to 7 days in advance for most departments; specialist slots may open further ahead.
- Open the public account and tap Appointment Booking (预约挂号).
- Agree to the terms and tap Add Patient (添加就诊人). Enter the patient's real name and ID number and link a medical card.
- Select your preferred campus, department (e.g., Neurology, Dermatology, Hand Surgery), date, and time slot.
- Confirm appointment details and complete booking.
To cancel: Go to My Appointments (我的预约) and cancel before the cancellation deadline shown on your booking confirmation.

Download the Huashan Hospital official app (华山医院) from major app stores. The app supports appointment booking, medical record access, queue status, and report viewing. Slots and availability mirror the WeChat public account.

- If a top specialist is fully booked, consider booking a senior resident or associate professor in the same department as an alternative entry point.
- The international medical department often has more accessible appointment slots for overseas patients at a premium fee.
Booking Limits and No-Show Policy
- One appointment per patient, per department, per day.
- Cancellations must be made before the deadline shown on your booking confirmation (typically 17:00 the day prior).
- Repeated no-shows may result in temporary booking restrictions across platforms.
Check-In on the Day
- Arrive early and collect your number at a self-service kiosk or service counter.
- Sign in at the sign-in machine on your department's floor. Failure to sign in may result in losing your queue position.
- For international patients using the international medical department, check in directly at the international department reception on arrival.
Special Patient Groups
- Foreign nationals: Book via the WeChat public account, phone, or in person using your passport. The international medical department is strongly recommended for a smoother experience.
