Campus Location
Renji Hospital South Campus operates from its single campus:
- South Campus — 2000 Jiangyue Road, Minhang District (near Lingang New City). All major specialist departments are housed here, including oncology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, urology, and gynecology.
The campus is located in the southern Minhang/Lingang corridor. Plan travel time accordingly — allow extra time if traveling from central Shanghai.
Essential Patient Information
- Real-name registration is mandatory. Bring the patient's original valid ID (national ID card or passport for foreign nationals). Without it, registration and self-service machines cannot be used.
- Outpatient hours: Morning 08:00–11:30 | Afternoon 13:00–17:00. Select departments operate on weekends.
- Emergency department: Open 24 hours.
- Oncology patients: Bring all prior pathology reports, imaging, and treatment records to your first consultation.
- Rheumatology patients: Bring prior lab results (ANA, anti-dsDNA, RF, CCP, complement levels) and imaging.

1. Official WeChat Public Account (Recommended)
Search and follow 仁济医院 on WeChat (same public account as the main Renji Hospital). Slots open daily at 08:00 for appointments up to 7 days in advance for most departments.
- Open the public account and tap Appointment Booking (预约挂号).
- Tap Add Patient (添加就诊人) and enter the patient's real name and ID number.
- Select South Campus and the department (e.g., Oncology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, Urology, Gynecology), date, and time slot.
- Confirm appointment details and complete booking.
To cancel: Go to My Appointments (我的预约) and cancel before 17:00 the day prior to the appointment.

Key Rules and Tips
Slot Release Schedule
- General outpatient slots open at 08:00 daily for the next 7 days.
- Specialist slots open 7–14 days in advance for high-demand departments.
Tips for Your Visit
- Complete patient registration setup before the slot release time and log in at exactly 08:00.
- Check for cancellations during 15:00–17:00 daily — re-released slots can be claimed.
- The South Campus generally has shorter wait times than the main West Campus — consider it as a first option if your condition is not hyper-specialized.

Booking Limits and No-Show Policy
- One appointment per patient, per department, per day.
- Cancellations must be made before 17:00 the day prior to the appointment.
- Repeated no-shows may result in temporary booking restrictions across platforms.
Check-In on the Day
- Collect your number at a self-service kiosk or service counter on arrival.
- Sign in at the sign-in machine on your department's floor before your appointment time. Failure to sign in may affect your queue position.
Special Patient Groups
- Foreign nationals: Book via WeChat public account, phone, or in person using your passport.
- First-visit insurance patients: Register at the manual registration window; self-service kiosks may not support all insurance types.
Out-of-City Patients
- Register for out-of-city medical care with your home city's insurance authority before traveling.
