Overview
Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center (FUSCC, 复旦大学附属肿瘴医院) is China's premier dedicated cancer hospital and one of the most respected oncology institutions in Asia. Founded in 1931, it is a Grade 3A specialized hospital exclusively focused on cancer diagnosis, treatment, and research. FUSCC is nationally recognized for its excellence in breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, gynecologic oncology, and radiation therapy. Its multidisciplinary tumor boards, clinical trial programs, and minimally invasive surgical techniques attract patients from across China and internationally seeking cutting-edge cancer care.
Campus Locations
FUSCC operates across two main campuses:
- Main Campus (Xuhui) — 270 Dongan Road, Xuhui District. The flagship campus housing all major oncology departments including breast surgery, thoracic surgery, colorectal surgery, gynecologic oncology, radiation oncology, and medical oncology.
- Minhang Campus — Minhang District. An expanding campus providing comprehensive oncology services for patients in southwestern Shanghai.
Most specialist oncology departments are concentrated at the Main Campus. Confirm department location before booking.

Key Rules and Tips
Slot Release Schedule
- General outpatient slots open at 08:00 daily for the next 7 days.
- Specialist oncology slots (e.g., breast surgery, thoracic surgery) open 7–14 days in advance and are highly competitive.
- Multidisciplinary tumor board (MDT) consultations require a referral from a treating oncologist and are scheduled separately — contact the hospital directly for MDT arrangements.
Tips for High-Demand Specialists
- Complete patient registration setup before the slot release time and log in at exactly 08:00.
- Check for cancellations during 15:00–17:00 daily — re-released slots can be claimed.
- Prepare a complete medical dossier before your appointment: pathology reports, molecular profiling results (e.g., HER2, EGFR, BRCA status), imaging, and prior treatment records. This significantly improves consultation efficiency.
- If a top specialist is fully booked, consider booking a senior associate in the same department as an entry point to the team.
Booking Limits and No-Show Policy
