Overview
Changhai Hospital (长海医院), affiliated with Naval Medical University (formerly Second Military Medical University), is one of China's most respected Grade 3A comprehensive hospitals. Founded in 1949, it has a distinguished history of military and civilian medical service. The hospital is nationally recognized for its excellence in gastroenterology and ERCP, orthopedics, urology, vascular surgery, and burn surgery. Its gastroenterology department — particularly its ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) program — is among the most experienced and highest-volume in China, attracting complex pancreatic and biliary cases from across the country and internationally.
Campus Location
Changhai Hospital operates from its main campus:
- Main Campus — 168 Changhai Road, Yangpu District. All major specialist departments are housed here, including gastroenterology, orthopedics, urology, vascular surgery, and the burn center.
As a single-campus hospital, all services are concentrated at this location. Plan travel and accommodation near Yangpu District accordingly.

Tips for High-Demand Specialists
- Complete patient registration setup before the slot release time and log in at exactly 08:00.
